G20 Irons, for Best Price

The ping g20 irons are designed to hit the ball long with forgiveness and distance control. Ping have added extreme perimeter weighting in the deep, multi-cavity back of the irons which makes the 17-4 stainless steel heads highly forgiving. The multi-material cavity badge made with soft elastomer heel and toe sections improves the feel and sound of the club, while the cavity’s floating CTP structure stabilizes the G20's thin face to generate fast ball speeds. The Ping G20 irons come with PING’s CFS (standing for Control, Feel, Stability) steel shaft.

Combined with ping’s new CFS steel shaft, the new ping g20 irons optimize feel and trajectories. The hosel-to-head transition and clean appearance of the G20's inspire confidence at address that the ball will launch clean and easy from any lie on the course. Consistent yardage gapping is a key benefit of the golf set, which includes high-launching long irons that maximize the overall range and predictability of a player's set.

The Ping G20 irons replace the G15 irons and the 10% thinner face is the same size as the previous model, which enables Ping to move the weight saved into the sole of the club. The G20 has a wider sole than its predecessor, particularly in the toe area, which increases the moment of inertia and forgiveness of the iron. At address the head of the golf set sits very well behind the ball, although in some of the longer irons you can see the back of the cavity, which may not appeal to all.

The new ping g20 has many great advantages, they can really improve very golfer's game, they have new custom tuning port which can expand perimeter weighting and increases MOI, they have a thinner face which can help golfers to place weight to the toe for added forgiveness, and the strong loft and low CG of the g20 irons also can offer golfers long shots with a high trajectory and maximum forgiveness, their wider sole can also provide a higher launch angle. If you feel exhausted with your current golf clubs, you can have a try the newest iron set; they can bring some freshness to your game.

Get Power from Your Driver (part1)

In previous articles in the Golf School section we have covered the basic requirements of what a Plane is and how to stay upon it, as well as a brief look at Clubface Control. In this article we will examine one of the critical power areas, that is lag, and what it does for us.

I recently played a casual 9 holes around a WA public golf course with a good mate and student of mine. We lined up at the 1st tee wishing we had slipped the starter a few bucks to bump us to the front, when my student grinned and said, “That guy lost his entire lag with his fishing rod. He was cooked before he even started.”

It is a common fault, players trying so hard from the top of their swing with pivots all akimbo but the loss of club head lag early in the swing means even, and if, they make it back to the ball, it is hit with a powder puff. If Fig 1 and or Fig 2 look familiar then read on carefully. Figure 3 is where we need to get to. So let us work backward from the ball so that we know what we have to do to have a hammer rather than cosmetics.

From previous articles we know that we must arrive at the ball with the right forearm on plane so that the shaft is best supported by our bent right wrist and the forearm can deliver the mass of our driving right shoulder most efficiently. A side on view of a golfer (Fig 3) who plays with lag even at impact shows the hands lead the PING G15 Driver head until after the ball has left the building.

Many would head to the dictionary but I took a detour to a Thesaurus which held some interesting analogies for lag. “Be late, slowness and amongst others, follow.” In terms of our golf swing these verbal definitions are the most visually profound. Our hands have to be in a position for the entire golf stroke to produce, load and maintain lag. So first of all we need to work out how to produce this lag from the beginning of a swing.

So where does lag come from? First of all we need to load the club shaft, meaning we need to get some power into the PING G15 Driver shaft and our body machine. As we take the club away in the backswing, you will notice that some small level of force is required to shift the PING G15 Driver head from its resting place. This feeling of inertia is normally dealt with by most golfers by bending the right wrist a little more to ’flick’ it into motion and from there the plane is then sought, as shown in Fig 4. The feeling of inertia can also be termed as drag as illustrated in Fig 5 with a towel. In effect we wish to lift the golf shaft up plane with our right arm bending thus lifting the club up. Drag is still felt as we lift the PING G15 Driver but it is much more gradual than the flick lift as in Fig 6.

FIRST AID FOR SLICERS

First aid for this is initially to get the ball set up correctly and to learn the correct left hand motion. But because the hand action has been opening in the past, we need to learn to have them closing as opposed to opening during contact. Now I stress this is Driver First Aid, and I would not teach this to a student with a driver but rather with an iron. Yet I know many of you out there hit the range, and 75% of balls you hit are with your PING G15 Driver.
So tee up your PING G15 Driver on a tall tee. Get set up with the ball forward in the correct near low point slot, and then open the clubface as though you are going to hit it out of bounds way to the right. Now make a swing with the purpose of hitting it straight. If you managed to hit the ball anywhere near straight, you have just managed to learn how to close the clubface. If it has gone to the right then your left hand is not closing the face. Most players grasp this pretty quickly and after a few shots can go back to aiming straight. Try it, and you may see a little draw at first but certainly not a huge slice anymore.

To tame a PING G15 Driver in the long run you will need to build the foundations of your shorter swings solidly. That too is where you work out which parts of the swing are causing the problems and tackle them one at a time – over time. If your ball position is inconsistent, then it will be harder to isolate issues. Fix that first. Keep ball position consistent. Then watch your ball flight, and you can work out what the club face is doing.

So if any of you come to see me and ask about your driver issues, please expect to find yourself on the chipping and pitching areas because there is where we will work out these club face versus ball flight issues for more lasting effect.

Top G20 Driver is Prepared for You

The name "ping" came from the sound that Solheim heard as the metal struck the ball. The 1A and other ping putters to come would revolutionize the putter market with newly found "heel-toe" weighting.

The ping g20 driver is the latest club of Ping Company, at the same time; it is also called the best gift in the market. Before g20, there are many golfers prefer the taylormade r11, but now it seems that more golfers are willing to choose the new ping g20 driver. Since the ping g20 come out on the market, it has received a lot of players’ high evaluations, some golfers said they are the good driver to provide the good distance, and some golfers said this new golf set own the perfect distance control the good distance, and some golfers said this new driver own the perfect distance control and accuracy, there are also some golfers said the g20 driver is the good game improvement driver that can bring the good change to your golf.

The ping g20 driver has a heavier head than G15 (7 grams more than standard) for greater force at impact. The g20 driver has an additional back weighting and a more elongated face shorn up. (Ping "shaved" the head in the low toe area to meet the 460cc size limit.) The reconfigured head — 5 percent higher moment of inertia on heel or toe hits — combines with a light, 45.75-inch "high-balance point" shaft (TFC 169D or TFC 169D Tour) to boost head speed and, thus, distance. Specifically, the TFC 169D shaft has more flexible tip and butt sections for softer feel.

With 460cc head is made from Ti 8-1-1, a lighter, lower-density alloy. Ti 8-1-1’s high strength-to-weight ratio allows for additional weight to be strategically placed for increasing the MOI on both the vertical and horizontal axes. Weight savings from varying wall thicknesses in the crown and body are positioned to optimize performance and durability.

The golf set is engineered for extreme forgiveness and predictable distance control. The thinner face of the ping g20 helps position weight to the toe for added forgiveness. The wider sole provides a higher launch angle. Strong lofts and a low center of gravity produce long shots with a high trajectory and maximum forgiveness.

Famous G20 Driver

Ping is an American brand of high-quality golf equipment, as well as one of the largest of the remaining American manufacturers of golf clubs, based in Phoenix, Arizona, founded by Karsten Solheim, who was an engineer at the General Electric Company. In 1959, he started making his own putters in his garage in Redwood City, California. In 1967, because of increasing demand for his putters, he resigned his job at General Electric in order to fully develop the Ping Company. Currently, PING produces clubs in every equipment category: drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, irons, wedges and putters.

The ping g20 driver has a slightly wider face than the G15 and at address the head appears bigger, although not quite as large as the K15. This g20 driver is achieved by a shallower crown and also visually by a lighter metallic silver finish. It's interesting that Ping have moved away from black to something slightly lighter. Ping G20 driver does look very good but is a little more reflective in bright conditions when compared to the previous black color.

Why the g20 driver is so famous? The reasons are that there are some features and advantages. The external weighting of the ping g20 helps launch the ball high with low spin for maximum distance and accuracy. Distance is generated with a new version of ping's proprietary high-balance-point shaft technology, which allows the golfer to swing a heavier head at the same speed with a high moment of inertia. The clubface on the 460cc head is larger, creating more forgiveness across the hitting area and the G20's head rotation is neutral, allowing the golfer to deliver the clubface straight at impact.

Had the opportunity to hit the G20 Wednesday, I also brought G15 in the golf stores to compare. I hit about a dozen with each. The data on the screen showed the G20 to be about 4 yards longer with a little tighter dispersion pattern. Not sure if the $299 price is worth 4 more yards. The G20 felt the same as my G15. Both have the stock shafts. It is just my observations.

G20 Irons, Your Gift

The Ping G20irons replace the G15 irons and the 10% thinner face is the same size as the previous model, which enables Ping to move the weight saved into the sole of the club. The G20 has a wider sole than its predecessor, particularly in the toe area, which increases the moment of inertia and forgiveness of the iron. At address the club head sits very well behind the ball, although in some of the longer irons you can see the back of the cavity, which may not appeal to all.

The Ping G20 Irons is engineered for extreme forgiveness and predictable distance control. The cavity's floating CTP structure stabilizes the face and the aluminum badge with elastomer heel and toe sections produces a solid feel and sound. The CTP reinforces a 10% thinner face and controls distances while saving weight, which was added to the back flange of the deeply cut, multi-cavity head to increase the moment of inertia.

Ping Newest Production, G20 Irons

Based on the Ping G15, the Ping has launched the Ping G20 Irons which is thought to be stand on the top of Ping. Then it means the Ping G20 Irons has the Ping's common features and extent qualities which the other Ping products don't have. Just enjoy this easy to learn about it!

That is right, the Ping G20 Irons are very similar to the G15’s, with a slightly wider sole. The cavity of these irons features a very similar look to the G15’s but with a new soft layer on the back to help with sound, feel and vibrations. The steel shafts also look new, with more evenly spaced steps than the traditional AWT shafts, with a unique and interesting feel.

The Ping G20 Irons features a new Custom Tuning Port which expands perimeter weighting and increases MOI. The thinner face of the G20 Iron helps position weight to the toe for added forgiveness. The wider sole of the Ping G20 Irons provides a higher launch angle. Strong lofts and a low center of gravity produce long shots with a high trajectory and maximum forgiveness.

While the Ping G20 Irons maintain the Ping 'G' look, they have changed the weighting in the head and modified the feel. Impressive forgiveness remains, but with a better all-round performance. Ping has opted for a lighter finish than in the Ping K15 and the head itself is slightly more compact to look down on. There is still plenty of confidence-inspiring forgiveness on show. We felt as if Ping could have been more ambitious in separating the look of the Ping G20 Irons on the shelf from its predecessor. The cosmetic changes do not reflect the improvements made. The new CFS is the steel stock offering from Ping. It helped to produce a long flight on test. The TFC 169i is the graphite offering and will help anyone looking for a higher launch.

At present, many related economical measures are put into force by the government. Accordingly, a big boost on the employment rate, which down to 8.6% from 9%. To count the revenue in 2011, how much you have earned in the past year and what's you expecting to get that unreached?

G20 Driver Launches Ball High

Golf game is more and more popular now. No matter you are a professional golfer, or a beginner, you should consider investing in a right club. I recommend the new ping g20 driver to you. If you've just taken up golf as a leisure or week-end sport, you may want to invest in a good set of golf clubs to raise your motivation levels. It is very important to own good golf clubs to any golfer!
Ping has been on the market for a long time, and their products have continued to impress professional and amateur golfers around the world. The stylish and innovative designs of their golf clubs deliver extreme functionality and convenience for golfers who trust only the number one manufacturer of golfing equipment. And the g20 driver released recently is an improved performer.

Ping G20 Driver made its public debut last week at the PGA Tour's FedEx St, the Ping G20 Driver is for all ability levels. The Ping G20 Driver has a heavier head than G15 for greater force at impact. The reconfigured clubhead — 5 percent higher moment of inertia on heel or toe hits — combines with a light, 45.75-inch "high-balance point" shaft (TFC 169D or TFC 169D Tour) to boost clubhead speed and, thus, distance. Specifically, the TFC 169D shaft has more flexible tip and butt sections for softer feel.

This Ping G20 Driver will aesthetically appeal to players who prefer a more traditional look. It has a heavier head than G15 (7 grams more than standard) for greater force at impact. Additional backweighting and a more elongated face shore up misses. A driver head reacts at impact by bending, or flexing. This impacts the overall sound and feel of the club, as well as how the ball comes off the club.  Its 460cc titanium head is longer front to back and features PING's patented ultra thin crown technology. Weight savings from the thin crown are positioned as an external sole weight to optimize the center of gravity of the Ping G20 Driver for higher trajectories and reduced spin.

Ping G20 Driver has the following features. The external weighting of the G20 driver helps launch the ball high with low spin for maximum distance and accuracy. Distance is generated with a new version of Ping's proprietary high-balance-point shaft technology, which allows the golfer to swing a heavier clubhead at the same speed with a high moment of inertia. The clubface on the 460cc head is larger, creating more forgiveness across the hitting area and the G20 driver's head rotation is neutral, allowing the golfer to deliver the clubface straight at impact.

Ping Driver g15 vs g10

Ping designed its line of G10 and G15drivers with almost matching specifications in size (460 cc), shape and wall thickness of the club face. Both clubs are designed to promote accuracy and forgiveness, making them ideal for golfers of all skill sets. With all these similarities, you might think that the two clubs are identical, but there is one main difference between the two that makes the G15 slightly longer off the tee. That difference comes in the way the club heads are weighted.

All the compares are done on the Ping Man. G15 is +6 yrds longer on center hits and an average of +10 yards longer on off center hits. G10 was a great driver, but G15 is looking to be much better. Some amazing stat's on mishits. G15 is really forgiving from reports. I just got mine today and will compare to my Rapture V2 and a G10 I had a year ago. The Rapture V2 is amazing and I've heard/read the G15 is comparable distance wise and maybe even more forgiving.

Previously owned a G10 10.5* with TFC129D Regular and recently demoed a G15 10.5* with TFC149D Regular. Found the G15 to be longer off the tee and noticeably more forgiving. The TFC149D shaft, despite it's high torque rating (Reg = 5.8*), seemed to work quite well with the G15 head. Would have liked to try the lower torque (4.0*) Serrano shaft option, but one was not available. IMHO, the G15 is a worthy replacement for the G10.

Ok. This is what I have
.
G15 9 with a Fubuki 63 stiff

G10 9 with a Whiteboard 63 stiff.

I only have one round with the G15 and I was swinging not so great but did manage to hit a couple nice drives.

Between these 2. For my 95 Mph swing. The G15 is longer. It is a improvement over the G10. A huge difference? Maybe. Depends how you define huge. I will say either one of these drivers I could play for the next couple years and be happy. It just seems that on mishits I ended up farther down the fairway than I thought, with the G15 that is. It seems to be sneaky long. But that could have more to do with the shafts. Launch is about the same, I think spin is a lower with the G15. I was getting some decent roll.

Talk about G20 Irons

Ping is one of the famous golf brands in the world. Recently Ping has launched the new series--ping g20 irons. Ping G20 Irons features a new Custom Tuning Port which expands perimeter weighting and increases MOI. The thinner face of the g20 irons helps position weight to the toe for added forgiveness. The wider sole provides a higher launch angle. Strong lofts and a low center of gravity produce long shots with a high trajectory and maximum forgiveness.

While the ping g20 maintain the Ping 'G' look, they have changed the weighting in the head and modified the feel. Impressive forgiveness remains, but with a better all-round performance. Combined with the new CFS steel shaft (control, feel and stability), the 20 irons optimize feel and trajectories. Consistent yardage gapping is a key benefit of the golf set, which includes high-launching long irons that maximize the overall range and predictability of a player's set.

I've been measured up for ping g20 irons. I need green dot, standard length, and regular flex steel shafts. Is it possible to obtain these from you? Do the sets you sell include 3-9 irons, sw, pw and uw? Please answer me, thank you!

Ping G15 Irons

When you are setting up to a "classic" iron, what kinds of thoughts run through your mind? For me, I imagine the silky smooth feel of the sweet spot. I visualize the ball curving through the air at will. I can almost see the ball falling to the green with just enough spin to bounce twice and then stop. However, put a blade in another player's hands and the reaction could be entirely different. They might look down desperately searching for that microscopic sweet spot, trembling at the thought of the painful reverberations of a mis-hit.
Ping’s Reputation
Ping has been putting out great equipment for decades and they are showing no decline in quality or precision.
·         Overall rating – playability of the ping irons rated 4 ½ out of a possible 5 stars; durability, great value, easy to use and high quality all go into these irons and have been described as a beginners dream by some reviewers
·         Specs – these clubs were specially designed for mid to high handicappers with an ID8 grip by Ping; steel or graphite shafts; cast iron construction; stainless steel iron face; cavity iron back; and come in irons #9 down through #3 and PW
·         Technology – Ping G15 Irons offer reliable consistency to most any golfer with maximum forgiveness provided by the technology of a higher launching system
·         Balance – playability and performance are the two main factors in the Ping G15 irons
·         Feel – these irons rated 4 ½ out of 5 stars; these irons cut through the air like a hot knife through butter; one reviewer described in the feeling of his swing now as ‘smooth as silk’; it feels like the ball is literally exploding off of the face of the iron.

These irons make the most out of miss hits and will make a lot of friends with higher handicappers. There will be some that will pass over these irons because of their looks. The club features a large sole, thick top line and extreme perimeter weighting. If players can get over the "bulk" factor, they're in for a real treat.
There were some players that felt the thicker sole made the shorter irons more difficult to use off tight lies and sand. This is a very valid point... and more the reason to take these to the course and demo them. It's important to note your typical playing conditions when searching for irons. You'll also want to try these on a launch monitor. They're designed to hit the ball high and you want to make sure your launch angle is optimized. Looking for a forgiving iron that hits the ball high? Make sure these are on your list.

About G15 Irons

PING G15 irons help golfers with their superior designs, technology, materials and workmanship. The oversized club heads, made of high quality investment cast 17-4 stainless steel, feature a redesigned "Custom Tuning Port" to provide enhanced feel, increased perimeter weighting and a higher moment of inertia. Additional weight has been placed at the toe and around the perimeter to provide increased forgiveness on off-center hits, and the G15's wider soles and lowered, rearward-placed center of gravity combine to help to produce higher trajectories. The lofts have also been strengthened by one degree from predecessor sets like the PING G10 irons, and you can probably expect to hit a six-iron (for example) three to five yards longer (as well as higher) than the six-iron you're using now.
The game-improvement G15 irons are high-launch and forgiving, making them a great option for beginners and tour pros alike. In designing the Custom Tuning Port behind the clubface we saved weight, which went to the perimeter for added stability and forgiveness.

A thinner face design also created discretionary weight that we allocated to the toe for extreme forgiveness. Stronger lofts, a wide sole, and a low-back center of gravity combine to produce longer shots that maintain an optimal trajectory.

Fortunately, I hit the clubs using a launch monitor later on in the day and found out that I was hitting the ball about three to five yards farther but was completely wrong about why. If the distance could be attributed purely to the loft decrease, I should have seen a slight decrease in trajectory as well. According to the launch monitor, my launch angle was actually higher with the G15s than the G10s. Honestly, I thought I was losing it. I thought perhaps that my swing was changing and I was biased. After randomly grabbing three other golfers to hit each of the clubs using the launch monitor I found that they were having the same results. In fact, the highest handicap player had nearly a three-degree increase in trajectory with the G15s.

So far, PING had kept its promise: there was a better feel and there was an increase in distance. But how can you dramatically improve a club that you had just a few years back claimed was the "maximum" forgiveness iron? Well, PING did.

If you need a maximum game-improvement iron, consider the PING G15 irons. They felt silky-smooth and definitely helped me launch the ball higher, with a slight increase in distance, too. Low-handicap players, on the other hand, might be put off by the extra-wide soles and the lack of workability. These clubs go straight just about no matter what you do.

Ping G15 Driver vs. Ping G20 Driver

Two years have passed since the Ping G15 Driver has been released. It is a long time for Ping fans to wait for a new Ping driver. Ping G20 Driver will be available at retail in mid-August, and there are some golfers who have already looked and tried it. Perhaps due to their extremely high expectation, some golfers said the Ping G20 Driver has no big improvement compared with previous driver. But there are still many players who praise this new driver. Let’s have a look at this Ping G20 which arouses so many discussions and the comparison between it and Ping G15 Driver as well.

As we know, Ping G15 Driver is a 460cc titanium driver meant for golfers seeking maximum forgiveness. Compared with the G10, G15 has numerous technological improvements. It attains a higher MOI by lengthening the head from front to back. Additionally, a 7% larger face increases ball speed and provides consistency across the entire hitting surface. Lastly, weight savings from the ultra thin crown are positioned as an external sole weight to optimize the center of gravity for higher trajectories and reduced spin. The PING TFC 149D shaft Ping G15 uses allows for a five gram increase in head mass without increasing swing weight or overall weight. All of these seemingly small changes should result in higher ball speeds and an increase in MOI. The sole of the G15 is among Ping's greatest improvements. The chrome treatment on the sole isn't new but the technical changes gave Ping the ability to make significant esthetic changes.

Ping’s G20 driver made its public debut at the PGA Tour’s FedEx St. Jude Classic. Three pros—defending champ Lee Westwood, Kirk Triplett and D.J. Brigman—added it to their arsenal for their first round. Ping G20 Driver has a heavier clubhead than G15 (7 grams more than standard) for greater force at impact. Additional backweighting and a more elongated face shore up misses. (Ping "shaved" the head in the low toe area to meet the 460cc size limit.) The reconfigured clubhead — 5 percent higher moment of inertia on heel or toe hits — combines with a light, 45.75-inch "high-balance point" shaft (TFC 169D or TFC 169D Tour) to boost clubhead speed and, thus, distance. Specifically, the TFC 169D shaft has more flexible tip and butt sections for softer feel. In total, G20 launches shots 0.75 degrees higher than G15, with 200 rpm less spin and 1 mph faster ball speed on center hits, which adds up to five yards more carry and roll.

Ping G15 Blue Dot Irons 3-9WS Review

Ping G15 Irons can provide high trajectory, high forgiveness and stability. With cavity stainless steel clubhead and all new weight ports design, Ping G15 enlarges perimeter weight to enhance the moment of inertia. The face design positions saved weight to the toe for more forgiveness and higher trajectory. Ping G15 Blue Dot Irons adopts smaller face angle for increased distance. The center of gravity location is designed lower and further from clubface, ensuring both high launch angle and high forgiveness. The sole is designed wider to provide lower and more back-moved CG for high launch angel and increased landing distance. Wide sole can ensure smoother roll on greens at impact. The weight ports of G15 Irons have been redesigned, which saves 7g weight. This saved weight is distributed to head perimeter to increase MOI. Better distance control and solider hitting feel can be achieved through a new design. This new design provides better back frame to support the thin clubface, ensuring consistent stroke effect and solid hitting feel.

Ping G15 Irons are Ping’s new cavity forged irons with exceptional performance and are game improving. According to Ping golf design head Brad Schweigert, G15 are irons which can increase scores. They have great forgiveness and are easy to hit high trajectory. The entirely new cavity design of G15 decreases face and head top weight by 15g. The saved weight is moved to sole and toe, providing low and deep center of gravity for high MOI to ensure solid hitting feel and stable distance control that many golfers demand. Besides of forgiveness and solid hitting feel, compared with G10 irons, G15 irons have another improvement that the hitting distance is added nearly by five yards.
