G20 Driver is Coming

Pay attention, the new ping g20 driver is coming. Ping is an American brand of high-quality golf equipment, as well as one of the largest of the remaining American manufacturers of golf clubs, based in Phoenix, Arizona, founded by Karsten Solheim, who was an engineer at the General Electric Company. In 1959, he started making his own putters in his garage in Redwood City, California. In 1967, because of increasing demand for his putters, he resigned his job at General Electric in order to fully develop the PING Company. Currently, PING produces clubs in every equipment category: drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, irons, wedges and putters.

The new Ping Driver is expected to hit retail stores in mid-August, as a MSRP of $350 (not too shabby if I do say so myself).  This driver features a 5% increase in MOI due to the head shape, a 460CC head (despite it looking even more massive) and is accompanied with either a TFC 169D or TFC 169D Tour shaft to produce a softer feel. When compared head-to-head against the G15, the G20 produced a 0.75 degree increase in launch angle, with 200 RPM less spin, and 1MPH increased ball speed off center hits. Not a huge difference if you ask this golfer, but who knows - the tour guys are already playing this driver, after its release at the Fedex St. Jude Classic...

You won't need to over-swing for distance: With the same effort you'll be the last out the cart for your second shot. For all ability levels, the external weighting of the large, forgiving G20 driver helps launch the ball high with low spin for maximum distance and accuracy. PING's proprietary high-balance-point shaft enables you to swing a club head with more mass at the same speeds at a high moment of inertia for long, straight drives. Put the pressure on the rest of your foursome!
